Martin Kpebu, Your Organized Demonstration Was A Flop - NPP's PK Sarpong

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Saturday, 5th November 2022, he wrote;"Dear Martin Kpebu, You promised an epic demonstration in terms of the turnout of Ghanaians who identify themselves with your unholy quest to have President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia removed from office. You said you were organizing the mother of all demonstrations, a demonstration that would shake the foundations of the Presidency. You said on many occasions that you were bringing 500,000 Ghanaians onto the streets of Accra to demonstrate against Akufo-Addo and the Vice President.

Maybe my frail eyes were not that helpful today and for that matter, I couldn’t see well, so help me with the numbers that turned up.

If I am not mistaken, your demonstration was a flop. The turnout did not correspond with the noise and the bragging you preceded the demonstration with."

According to P.K Sarpong, Lawyer Martin Kpebu wanted to prove a point that Ghanaians are resolute in their demands for Akufo-Addo to leave office. Clearly, the numbers you got did not give credence to your desirous wish. Ghanaians are not happy.

They know the economy is in dire straits. The President has admitted to these challenges and has consequently announced some measures aimed at improving the economy. Ghanaians also know that your advocacy is motivated by your desire to see John Mahama in power. They still don’t trust Mahama. Coming out in their numbers to demonstrate against Akufo-Addo means an avenue for the return of Mr. Mahama. In case you do not know, Ghanaians are not happy with Akufo-Addo but it doesn’t also mean that John Mahama should come. You are just a hireling of Mahama, the people can easily decipher this.

You are free to hold several protests, that’s not what the people want. They are so much concerned with how to get ways around the hard times we are in than follow you to achieve your tendentious goal of getting Mahama back into office. P.K Sarpong added. I would be surprised if you were able to get more than 2000 people onto the streets of Accra. At a point in time, you were begging people to come out. They’re thinking about themselves rather than allowing themselves to be used to achieve your parochial ambitions. "The legitimacy of your demonstration is not in doubt as the laws of the land back same no matter how ignoble your intentions are. I cannot congratulate you on a successful demonstration today because it wasn’t a success. You managed to amass some NDC members onto the streets to push Mahama’s agenda. Things turned south, if you’d be honest enough to admit it. " He concluded.
